The news ticker is perfect for bringing recently posted news to the homepage, to gain exposure as soon as visitors touch base on your website. This ticker may be removed or hidden if visitors click on the ‘Breaking’ toggle option right below the ticker.

Like a true magazine theme, Continuum also features an animated content slider on its homepage. On the far right of the featured news is the ticker where you can find the most recent news comments, slowly rolling upwards.

The Photocrati Super Theme is 15 different themes built into one and includes 60 different styles overall.  Each of the 15 themes that are built-in have 4 different homepage options each.  So you have a homepage with a slideshow, or have it display your images in a tiled fashion that popup, or have it be a normal blog style, or have a slideshow with selectable images underneath.

There are both dark and light versions and some in between with a bit more graphical backgrounds such as the Bocah edition.  You can of course upload your own logo and choose if you want it centered or on the left or right.  You can even choose your own custom background images for your site.  The admin gives you many options to change things like link color or text colors.

One of the newest features is the ability to sell your own photos from your site.  Within the galleries you create you can choose to add paypal buttons so that you can accept payments and then take care of the sale off the site.  Meaning you can sell prints and the like straight from your site.   I believe a lot of photographers would love this option as it gives you the ability to accept payments online.
